In 2006 my wife and I started Poorboy Sporting Goods out of our house in Cut Bank Montana. We sold archery equipment and trapping supplies. We also did taxidermy and are licensed fur buyer from that location. We are very avid outdoors people doing trapping., hunting, fishing and camping. Anything to do with the outdoors we did it. In 2017 with the help of my wife’s daughter my stepdaughter and her husband Kamey and Curtis Worland, we added Poorboy Hide & Fur based out of Nome, Alaska, selling Tanned Fur and buying raw fur from trappers and hunters in Nome and surrounding villages. After just a few years of Poorboy Hide & Fur we again added a new entity, Poorboy Wilderness Apparel. Our business manager (KAMEY) in Nome encouraged my wife to start manufacturing fur Mittens, Hats, Ruffs, Slippers, etc. as there seem to be a demand for it up there. After a few years of Booths and Tables at various events and bazaars we have grown to where we are today and hoping to expand in the future.
